Industry Operations Division
The Coffee Industry Corporation realises its key role in providing services to the Papua New Guinea Coffee Industry. It performs this through industry regulations, inspections and quality
and export control, marketing and promotion services . The Industry Operations Division is responsible for this role as well as producing coffee statistics and providing
corporate support services to the CIC that includes administration, finance, human
resource management and others.
The IOD's main office is located in Goroka with its Export and Quality
Control office based in Lae. All operations of the IOD are coordinated and mostly conducted from Goroka.
The office of the General Manager, IOD supports and coordinates the regulatory, marketing and promotion, and
corporate functions of the CIC.
Industry Regulation and Compliance
Roles and functions relating to regulating the coffee industry and guiding the industry aimed at maximizing exports and income is carried out by the Industry Regulation and Compliance section. These functions include;
- licensing and inspection, and

- quality and export control.
Economics, Promotion and Marketing
The collective functions of this section include facilitating promotion
and marketing of PNG coffee to potential buyers both locally and
internationally and also conducting socio-economic studies, facilitating market intelligence
and providing coffee statistics to industry stakeholders.
Corporate Support Services
The Corporate Support Services section provides support services in governance, finance, human resources, and property management to the industry. Its functions and roles are to implement; personnel and administration,
and finance and accounts.
