| Both coffee markets remained relatively quiet this week in the face of very little fresh fundamental news. Currency | |||||||||||||||||||||
| markets played an important part in the development of prices on a daily basis, but it appears that the effects of the | |||||||||||||||||||||
| stronger dollar have been largely offset by the weakening Euro. Despite this , it was a relatively positive week | |||||||||||||||||||||
| especially for arabica coffee prices, which rose by 3.6 cents/lb. Robusta coffee prices also moved upwards but only | |||||||||||||||||||||
| rather hesitantly, gaining only $5/ton (0.2 cents/lb). | |||||||||||||||||||||
